Elliot came to more quickly than he had liked, shuddering at the sensation of a hand on his face. He heard the figure speak to him in a low voice, but he couldn’t wrap his mind around what it was saying before he passed out again.
The second time, he was being carried back through the hallway, too burnt out to think anything of it. More tired than faint, he thoughtlessly rested his head against the figure’s chest and let himself sleep.
The third time, he heard muddled voices and the pain in his head was much duller. His eyes fluttered open, showing him all of his winterwear laid out in front of a fireplace.
