Solana’s eyes fluttered open slowly, ears swiveling until they recognized the echo of thunder in the distance. It was soon smothered by the sound of rain, pattering in such a rhythm that she was quickly relaxed again. Her body and mind settled, further comforted by the warmth of…
The warmth of…
Solana suddenly became conscious of her surroundings. Her head was resting on Venith’s chest, pressed against her heartbeat. She could feel the rise and fall of Loligo’s breathing behind her, trapping her in a gentle, satisfied harmony. She became vividly aware of both of their bodies, how they were entangled with her ow

Carte Blanche - NNWM Day 1
"I'm serious; there's a little girl waiting for you in your office."
"Come on, man. We don't encourage little kids to solve their problems through violence." Brossard laughed, emptying another paper cup. "Most of the time."
He went to grab another paper cup, but stopped himself. How many cups did he waste during this one outing? A lot was his closest guess. On slow days, he'd spend half of his time by the water cooler, wasting as many cups as humanly possible just out of boredom. It probably wasn't healthy, especially considering that the building was practically one huge aquarium; whoever refilled this water cooler was probably so spiteful

Elliot Andeville is Going to Hell - Chapter 3
Elliot came to more quickly than he had liked, shuddering at the sensation of a hand on his face. He heard the figure speak to him in a low voice, but he couldn’t wrap his mind around what it was saying before he passed out again.

Your name is Anele Nivose. You are a 19-year-old girl attending Fylleth Academy, an esteemed private school located in a town not empty enough to be in the middle of nowhere but not populated enough to be important.
You also happen to have a habit of sleeping around.
You wake up in a familiarly unfamiliar environment, more than satisfied as your mind drifts back to the night before. Really not a shabby escapade. An upscale hotel and a gentleman with red eyes and a hell of a lot of talent. Labeling it as merely "not shabby" was honestly an undeserved insult.
It is at this moment that you notice the bed is empty. Not entirely concerned, you
>"You just killed all of those people!"
As you stare at the girl before you, a million questions run through your mind. Who is she? How did she do that? But one question stands above the rest...
"What the hell is wrong with you?!" you shout suddenly, surprising even yourself, "You just killed all of those people!"
The girl glares down at you, appearing annoyed.
"How ignorant of you." she says coldly, turning her back to you. "You should know that no one ever dies."
"What are you talking about?! That thing was made out of people, and you just destroyed it! You just destroyed them!"
You hear a sigh. The girl looks back at you, visibly dis
